    1200 fuel tank sender

Seeking a replacement sender unit as mine's getting more than a little inaccurate now. Believe the 1200 base is different to the 1100, unsure of any other models that would work? Part number only gives ZRX.

I think the actual sender unit is the same on both the 11 and the 12 - both have the part number prefix 52005 but different suffix. The difference appears to be the additional housing sections on the 11 that the 12 doesn't use as you mention, but the actual sender appears to be the same*, so if you could get an 11 looks like it's just a case of pulling the sender from the base to get it to work. That said, you don't know how long a second hand one will last for and for 80 odd quid I'd probably bite the bullet and just get a new one and know will work for a good while.

Not much around though unless you want to buy new - guess it might even be worth looking out for a used tank on ebay or something that you could pull the sender from, but might end up being a similar price to simply getting one from Cradley's.

Thinking about it though - if you can afford to have the bike off the road a short while, have you removed it yet to take a look?

It could well be it's simply got a fair bit of crud / corrosion from any moisture in the tank and a good clean up will have it working again. They are pretty basic things really and if you can get into the contacts it might be a simple case of cleaning them up.

1100 and 1200 senders are not interchangeable if memory serves me correct.

Cheers. Maybe I'll take it off and see what's going on first before chucking 80 at a new one.

Should have a range of 10-110 ohms.
