airbox before engine or other way about

    Hi Gents

I've had my 1100 since 2015 done 6 miles since I bought it then took to pieces - I've now got all the parts bought or refurbished and its time to start putting together . . . . . before I get too old to ride the thing

My question is do I need to put the airbox into the fame before I put the engine in - Ive made this mistake before on a bandit so not getting bitten again

    Cheers in advance

Yes , once the motor is in there is naff all room to do anything.

Airbox first . engine , carbs.

Just took the carbs out of REX 1 tonight to give them another clean and will be refitting them tomorrow with the aid of a flat piece of plastic to hold the rolled up rubbers back before i slide the carbs back in , if you want to use it then give me a shout as it saves much gnashing of teeth and skint knuckles.

Take the pieces and build them skywards !
