You will pay VAT at 20% on the total value of the order (and that includes the postage element in the total) plus the thieving basts at Parcelfarce/the Post Office will stick on a "handling charge" of between 15 and 20 quid before they will deliver it.

If you have the option to pay the charges at source (Ebay sometimes allows this) it'll work out cheaper.

You could try and sneak it in as a gift or marked down in value, but aside from being a Federal offence in the States which can cost the seller a massive fine - HMC are well wise to that ploy and can (and have) open up the parcel and place their own value on it, and charge accordingly.

When I bought a rad and CF guard from Pete (you can possibly scale it down):

    Rad - $675
    Guard - $145
    Priority Mail International - $81.70

    Total - $901.70 - (circa 700 give or take)

This be the best bit (albeit the clearance fee will not be less)

    What Goes Around..........!!!
