Gear change lever

Hi all hope you are all doing well
I have a question for I am doing some work on my 1100 and noticed that the gear leaver and rear brake lever have quite a bit of play on them has any one had this before I was thinking of getting them machined and a bush made up for them any other ideas people

I would first check torque on clamp bolts if you didn’t do it already. They go loose with time and are primary cause of play...

I had the same problem . Had some brass inserts made . You could try cutting up a feeler gauge as a temp fix and a bit of grease . Be carefull when undoing the allen bolt they have lock tight on so tight . .

thanks mate glade it not just me then I will get some brass inserts made then there off the bike now so nice and easy

Just remember the pivot shaft may not be round anymore so that would need to have a minimum cleanup and any bushes made, bespoke, to suit the slightly smaller diameter.

Oil-lite bushes will be better than brass as they offer some in-built lubrication.

ZRX1200 gear lever pivot is larger diameter than 1100 and has a bush.
You need the 1200 foot peg mount and lever to match of course.

That's what I've done...perfect now.

See the forum is not dead , it just takes a new thread to bring it alive. The zrx forum has been around for a few years now and most or all of the problems have been covered. Its still good to get a refresher thread come up. Keep them coming , keep us looking. Cheers all

That's what I've done...perfect now.

If stuff is fubar at the pivots on both sides Moriwaki rearset then or Ghiles if ones is striken by covid.
