here today gone tomorrow
yeah that fucked it up good. Before that when things got a bit strong it got dealt with out in the open. Later it just became a bitch fest.
Exactly this. Got schooled here.
Funny thing is, the Rex exclusivity angle probably didn't help the board in the long run, but that was where the concentrated knowledge came from. You never get that depth if a board tries to cover too many bases.
Got a couple of Ks out back at the moment, not including a Rex, but never say never....
I joined the forum in 2006 with a standard 1100 Rex.It wasn’t long before I added block off plates and yox made some dowels for cylinder head
Then came the 1109 big bore, exhaust, swingarm, usd forks, differant swingarm etc etc but there comes a point where you’ve done every thing.we did all those things years ago nothing really new has been done since.we used to ask questions about stuff but now its all documented for everyone to read.people like purge, pal and storm were pioneers in the early days, what else is there left to do ?,just my thoughts lol.
yup
That’s odd. Hardly anybody here rides anymore. Please provide pictographic evidence here:

Polish onslaught
...you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink...
And for 7 months of the year its either pissing down or freezing in Scotland anyway
If a man is alone in a forest with no women around is he still wrong.
I still plop in occasionally. But sadly no Rex S, amongst one of the best bikes I ever owned for 11 years.
I had a Tiger sport for 4 years, which I considered a Rex replacement, but it wasn't the same.
Sold that earlier & now down to just the one bike. (Suzuki Vstrom 650).
Yes I still ride, but find little pleasure in (covid) riding to a destination, only to ride back, not even having a coffee & the kick of wheels.
But very fortunately, I ride the North Devon Atlantic Highway A39, & find coastal riding satisfying.
Roll on spring time.
So I still may just re-tax the bike in Dec, & grab the occasional ride to blow the cobwebs away.
