    Have heard of many people who burnt out their rectumfrier after fitting a lithion ion.

    Bike charging circuits aren't designed for lithium batteries (especially older bikes) - lead acid works just fine and apart from weight saving it's not a big deal to me. Each to their own though if it works for you.

    Always fitted BotoBatt batteries to my bikes and never had one fail in the last 9 years!
    I do keep them hooked up to Easy 6 chargers though. Personally I'd never use an Optimate charger as I've seen them fail too many times.
