    Possibly stupid question

Did I see a while back a home made sonic cleaner made by strapping a palm sander to a container?
If so I was wondering if it would be possible to run injector cleaner or similar into the carbs and attach the sander directly?
The thought is could it dislodge any crap without having to remove carb bank?
    Cheers

It wouldn't make a sonic cleaner as the frequency wouldn't be nearly high enough. It would crudely clean from the vibrations and oscillation, but a true sonic bath has the benefit of cavitation in the fluid itself helping to clean out small internal passageways etc.

Thanks Noggin that makes sense !
I was just trying to avoid the pain and hassle of dropping the carbs if I am honest.
Tank of new fuel with sea foam in it at the moment and will be wringing her neck when the sun comes back out to try and clear it.

It's an interesting thought and I can see the logic you were going with, but to be honest I think it would also risk dislodging crap from the float bowls etc which would then block the jets, causing more hassle than it solves.

That said, if you're going to have to strip them anyway, maybe give it shot just for a laugh and see if an Italian tune up afterwards sorts it

If it works you could start a new trend off
