Assembly tools, addition of rod holder. Smart special tool set for now and then fork jobs

Fork Seals are done, fork oil has been replaced.

All those KYB forks are the same but each with own quirks. This one had hard sitting tube bushings, it was unpleasant drive in home of those bushings with my pvc pipe make shift driver.

Happy with condition of the parts so far.

For 8 year old junk looks great.

New center cap and lots of elbow grease to clean the wheel. This is second scrub since I got the bike. Still not perfect but is getting there.

Can't believe I am still in the garage instead of riding

Made mistake of touching the exhaust to fiddle with rear wheel and had to redo the Mickey Mouse mount.
Acrapovicz call for solid bushings to replace factory mount but whoever installed it went third way.

Fabricated inner bushing from belt tensioner and evap hose, plus some hardware from the bin.
Good for now, will buy stainless torx bolt and washers tho...

Finally test ride. Bit of a riddle. Front end feels so nice, not sure what contributed most, new tire or new fork oil.

Motul Expert Light is about 17 cSt while Honda specs 15 cSt at 40C. I insisted on factory specs oil but looks like my hand was was forced in the right direction.

    No leaks, nice and dry...

Getting used to the big boy center stand thing.

    Up hill is harder.

Can't say I am smooth yet, whole process still bit jerky but I am getting there...

It is about 1700 miles since I did first service after buying the motorcycle. Intentionally short oil change interval to flush the old stuff.
Next to do; coolant change and another differential oil change. I did diff not long ago but want to flush

I also bought some hardware to replace compromised, non original or ugly pieces I found during previous work.

    Hugly grab handle bolts

Turned out new ones have weak finish on them from the box. Will have to keep well greased.
