FREE to a good home - my sadly neglected 1200R

Well, lads & ladies the very sad day has come when I have to face up to reality.

My bike has not been ridden for 5+ years now. I had always intended to restore it but the reality is I don't have time or a workshop (or even a decent shed) and I can't see this situation changing at all in the next 5 years!

So, it's time for her to go to a good home as a winter project or spares.

    Details:

    2003 plate ZRX1200R
Akrapovic can & stage 1 dynojet kit, properly set up on a rolling road with suitable air filter (I think K&N but it's been a while!)
    2 good tyres
No accident damage to engine cases etc.
    Low mileage.
    Service history
    Datatool alarm with 2 fobs
    2 keys
    All paperwork present.
No HP or anything else like that
Some minor scratches to fairing, a broken indicator and clutch lever (clumsy neighbour)
The bike has not been started for at least 5 years so probably needs a new battery.
A lot of of the black finish has faded as the bike has been kept out in my back garden

The bike is in East London, E4 area. You must be able to collect.

I stress that this is not a scam, nor am I advertising it as free to get people round, then start wanting money. I am genuinely giving the bike away in the hope that someone will bring her (or parts of her) back to life. I need the space and it's breaking my heart to see her rusting away.

Please PM or email through the forum if interested. I have some photos but they're too big to post here, I can send by email if you like.

    Thanks,

    I'll take it Masood.

I'd need to organise getting over to collect it with the van but that wouldn't be an issue if you could hold it for me?

Still waiting to hear back from Masood. I'd probably get a firm that specialises in the collection and delivery of bikes to pick it up as soon as possible if I knew that it was ok to book them.

Thanks for your interest guys. Trickzeds was the first to reply by PM. I'm going to see if he wants it after seeing photos. If not, then pedrosixfour was next.

    Cheers!

I was rather hoping he would do as I suggested by pm and get it on the bay with a mega honest description (as the one posted here) and get whatever it makes ..................and if dosh isn't an issue then give the proceeds to charity.

Looks like Dave is the winner tho and well deserved

Good idea Nigel I said I would like to pay as well.

he was probably swamped with messages.

i had an idea I would keep it and dish out bits to people as they needed them over time, help us all keep on the road.

    No worries Masood.

If you had a spare minute or two, would you be good enough to send on the pictures of the bike to the email I pm'd you?

    Thanks.
