    Any tips for long term storage on an out of the frame Rex engine?

    I would put a teaspoon of engine oil in the bores, turn it over a couple of times and refit the spark plugs, plug the inlets/outlets and chuck a cover over it.




    That said, one of my blades sat for several years after just being turned off and as long as you are gentle come re-commissioning time I dont think you will have an issue whatever you do.


    Now ive said that, if its on the bench it wouldn't harm to whip the cam cover off and give the cams a good oiling but again, not overly necessary.
