    Re: Motorcycle bike lifts

Funnily enough I was looking at this one yesterday, as I've been thinking of getting a bike lift for ages. Would also be keen to know - I don't want to spend loads but also don't want to spend twice if you know what i mean.

It's a tough choice, as there are also these ones for around a ton cheaper that look to be ok for the money - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01J4AXPA8/

Apart from the front wheel holder they are very similar and not much in it. A mate got the Machine Mart one and said it's very good. They are bloody heavy though apparently so helps to have a mate handy when delivered to drag it to where you want it, otherwise open it up in situ and carry the bits to where you want to build it.

    Re: Motorcycle bike lifts

I went for this one after months of trying to justify buying a bike lift..
    https://www.cjautos.eu/550mm_WIDE_HY...FT_p/mb03d.htm
It's slightly narrower than the MachineMart one, which suits my small garage.
Only had it for a week, but it seems pretty good.
The company (CJ Autos) seem to specialise in garage lifting stuff rather than general box shifters.
No matter which you get, your knees and back will thank you!

The Clarkes stuff is very good.

I have the 550 Clarkes air version and a big compressor which is useful for lots of other stuff

I have the one Johnny is pointing to and wish I had gone for the air assistance (coz im lazy) and do have a compressor

That said, for me there is just too much ramp and they are indeed heavy things albeit I dont think there is much you cant put on them (bike wise)

Al has the best idea as he has his flush to his garage floor

I would like one, but space is the issue. I have the floor space but I have cupboards and other stuff over the bikes, so have not the room to lift them. I manage with This sort of thing although mine is better than the one I linked to

    Re: Motorcycle bike lifts

I have one of them on my table and very handy they are too (just need a wee mod to lift @ the front with the exhaust fitted)

Am also liking the one Kwackman has as again for me, the machine mart one is just too big but fine if you only have one bike me thinks

Very versatile, I don’t know how I managed without one.

they are a big lump john but better if you have the room because all the bike is on the ramp that's the 680mmx2200mm.but i never use with side stand as it seems a bit bendy you need to use the padock or abba stand.good bit of kit
it's a good day when you wake up and stretch out and don't touch wood
