    Black swing arm.

Does anyone ever paint the swing arm black, like (some of) the forks?

My forks are actually silver, but I prefer the look of the black lowers and think the swinger done the same colour would tie it all together nicely.

The finishing touch would be a polished lip on the black wheels.

If anyone has a picture of just such a colour scheme please feel free to post.

    Thankee.

Cheers lads. Absolutely stunning examples, one and all.

I think black is the way to go, especially if I do decide to paint the fork tubes.

This powdercoating business.... I know what it is, but why choose it over paint?

Is it a tougher/better finish and, if so, could the fork tubes be done in the same way?

Powder coat is more durable than paint !
Just be careful to mask off any bearing or thread holes.
You can coat almost anything but the limitations are on how much prep and protection you need to do to make sure the parts are usable afterwards.
For what it`s worth I have done the pillion brackets, the swing arm the removable frame tube and the rear torque arm (Now being replaced with a Kendo stainless item.

Or simply send it to triple s in bingly, you need to remove the bearings but they do everything else, can't rate them highly enough.

hi when the swing arm is coated does the area where the wheel spindle adjusters fit need to be masked off ? or can they be coated and still allow the adjusters to rotate ...cheers
