They be the ones I have (albeit the plastic protectors are fragile so a bit of rag is best).

If its a one off (or not many off) ill gladly lend you mine Charles

Why buy stuff. Don't you have press already. Works better and leave no marks on springs...

That is a very kind offer. It would be a one off, but I have read those jaws can be a bit fragile, so I would not want to ferk yours up Nige.

I dont mind buying a set (cos they are not expensive) if they can do the job.

I would normally compress the spring from the top and just slide the collet out and release the spring that way, but it looks like the top of the Rex spring IS all collet so that method likely wouldn't work. It looks like the spring needs to be compressed further down the body ?

The last set I did were Marzocchi Strada's - they were pretty straight forward. The Rex looks to be a bit more of a challenge ?

Think a couple of mine are lost already (the protectors that is that TBH reduce the clearance anyway).

Absolutely no bother to send to you so if you PM me your address sir all I ask is that you return them sir (ill not put them in the tin which is prolyl as heavy as the tool)

Forgot to add that they are most affective

I cheated in the end and went up to see a dealer friend. He made an adaptor and got the collets out for me so I will refresh and then rebuild em. Thanks though Nige, you are a good 'un

If you're a real man you just use a set of cable ties.
