    ZRX 1200r Screen

Looking for an as new screen.

Standard shape but can be black/clear or any shade of tint between black and clear.

OE if there is one but can be aftermarket.

Not looking for any type of flip up.

My screen has a few stone chips etc. and is looking a bit rough..

Just a thought, can the OE's be polished up?

    Cheers

You could try a plastic headlight refurb kit, used one on the MG and works really well and under a tenner.

You can polish out light scratches and hazing, but getting stone chips out will be unlikely unless you want to sand those area's down quite a bit with a lot of elbow grease polishing back smooth.

If really tatty I'd probably go for the 'new' one.

I need something to do until fully fit.. What will I need to polish it with? Thanks..

Doesn't really matter if I make a balls of it seeing as I'm prepared to buy a new one anyway..

In that case give it a go

As you say if you balls it up you need a new one anyway.

I would treat it as if I was repairing a paint finish - so for some deeper scratches etc, go in lightly with some wet and dry first until the heavier imperfections are out, and once happy going up in grades as usual to get a nice smooth finish.

Then get some polish and buff out repeatedly until the smooth finish comes back.

At the very very worst, you can always give it a light sand to get the imperfections out and spray it black.

The headlight repair kit has 3 grades of sandpaper, attachment for drill/Dremel and 2 buffing wheels, polish and sealant.

3M rubbing compound on orbital sander foam pad. Remove windscreen from a bike if not will polish white tops of black screws.
