    Grab rails

Recently I took the black (flaking off) paint from by rear foot rest hangers and polished up the alloy surface. I think it looks really good. I've now turned my attention to the grab rails, the paint's wearing off the LHS grab rail and I'm thinking about doing the same, (stripping the paint and polishing the alloy). Has anybody had this done? opinions welcome.

Not completely on subject but has anyone completely deleted the rails, filled in the holes and mounted it via internal brackets, I know you can get bobbins that fit in where the grab rails go but it'd look sweet with nothing poking out the sides?

This is more of what I meant, I know there is a similar tail piece out there but its a single seat and the rear subframe need cutting, something like this would be better as its reversible, problem is supporting the tail piece, without some form of support it cracks from what I understand.

Will probably never happen but it does look good.
