    Engine has caught tics

    Hello good people,
My Rex 11 has developed a tic. At idle it is uneven, actually sounds like a small piece of metal bouncing around. As I pull away the sound is even and sounds like a worn cam.
    Any ideas?

    Had your clearances checked recently?

It's fairly easy to get the valve cover off, might be worth having a look around in there and checking them while you're at it.

I would double check your exhaust collars (i know you have done them but if you didnt fit new exhaust crush washers there may still be clearance) and the integrity of the threads you chased with a die nut.

I akso wonder if you checked the other rotating masses (alternator drive and have a look down at your clutch basket as if the tensioner has failed it may be catching it).

Then i would be in the cam cover and take it from there.

As an aside, your oil level is correct?
