It's true that in places where you have high ethanol content you need to get through it quicker or not store it too long, as it will absorb water a lot more readily than normal fuel, so yeah that certainly is a big downside for us with bikes that might not do huge miles or lay up over winter.

I think we have less in the fuel in the UK (5% unless things have changed) but the "super" unleaded can be zero, which I tend to use if not using the bike for a while for this reason.
