Dowels for block off plate fixing

Hiya fellas, can anyone give me the exact dimensions of the solid dowels I will need for the block off plate conversion, and how many I will need. Cheers.

Presume you mean the hollow dowels in the head/valve cover that allow the air to flow into the exhaust ports - they are 10mm diameter.

    I bought a length of 303 stainless rod off ebay - cost me about 2.50 for a 10mm x 200mm length.

You need 4 dowels, so just need to cut 4 sections off the same length as the existing dowels (think they are around 15mm but can check when home). I 'dressed' the ends by putting in a drill chuck to make a sort of poor mans lathe and used a file to smooth flat.

A dab of thread lock and all sorted for next to nothing

Cut with Dremel while rotating in drill press chuck. You could skip hand filing that way...
