    Side stand mod

I read some horror stories before buying the bike about the side stand not being pushed forward enough as standard leading to bikes falling over etc.

Looking at mine at the weekend the ‘stop’ on the frame doesn’t appear to have been modified, is the general consensus that it would be a good idea to take a couple of mm off the ‘stop’ to allow the stand to move further forward?

I think the jury is a bit out on it if truth be told

That said both mine are done but both being jacked up a bit the lean angle is sometimes a bit concerning if the ground isn’t flat

Takes your angle grinder and makes your choice I guess

Just make it a habit to shake bike after setting side stand. This will either settle the bike or provide clue that position is not stable.
Personally I worry more about digging in soft asphalt on a hot day....

It's not necessary if you park correctly with your bike in gear!
