    Ohlins - should I?

I really like the look of piggy back gold Ohlins shox, but am assured by a knowledgeable ex racer, I know and respect, that they really aren't as great from a performance angle as their name or price tag might suggest. He suggested I should use the equivalent YSS shox that are somewhat less than half the price, but perform at least as well. Extra benefit is that I can buy YSS trade whereas I don't have an account with Ohlins and they don't sell through distribution Biggest problem for me is that Ohlins look gurt lush on a Rex

    I'd look around.

Getting the old Kayabas stripped and sorted restores damping, that your cheapest route. There are so many brands apart from Ohlins that are worth considering, many of em on here. I found the Bitubos to be better my some margin than the cheap Ohlins. But there are others.....

Have a look into Wilbers Shocks.

Not exactly cheap, but a decent quality shock.
