    RBLR 1000 - 16 Jun 2018

Charity ride in aid of the Royal British Legion (which i would hope everyone thinks is a good cause)

Having done it twice, its a harsh ride (more so when it is pissing it down) but details as below if anyone is interested:

Any IB peeps think the 15 is doable with Rex fuel range ?

Problem is it's the weekend after I get home from the TT. That said I'm seriously looking at it, but Leeds is plus 400 miles (200 each way) so would probably need two nights in a hotel.

But what about one for the softer botties?

Hyde Park Corner to the Ace?

I've done it twice (almost) - Blue Rex punctured and I was stranded thanks to the AA at Shap Fell for most of the night on my first attempt.

Second attempt was on a 'Blade - leaking front brake fluid - as Blue Rex was ill:

The IBA's Bun Burner 1500 is to do 1500 in 36 hours but the Bun Burner Gold in 24 hours would be a struggle on a ZRX in the UK, so I wouldn't do the RBLR version: 17.5 hours to do 1,000 miles and 17 hours to do 925.... Fine to do one in Europe where you could pin it to win it.
