They suffer more in the cold weather and so on cold days need "warming up" to get them to put out enough current to start the bike, usually leaving the lights on for a bit helps.

Also the Amp Hours is tiny compared to a lead acid battery. That's why they state it in Watt Hours on the side so it's not so obviously down on a standard battery.

Forget what they say about using your normal charger. If you use a smart charger, it wont take it up to the correct voltage as it will stop at 12.8V (ish) as it would with a lead acid, whereas a Li ion needs to go up to something like 13-14V. Therefore you need to buy a proper Li battery charger to maintain them properly. If you have a lot of accessories they will also take their toll and the battery wont be able to keep up.

For light use in summer or track days etc, they are great, but for normal road use I don't see the point in them just to save a couple of kilo's, especially on a bike like the ZRX which isn't trying to be a razor sharp lightweight sports bike.
    Good advice I think.

Well i replaced the cheap shitter that i bought for pinky with the oem one from Purgerex so needed a new battery

Yes i know its only the weight of a couple of litres of fuel and i am a fat bast but as its got a few lightweight aftermarket trinkets on it i thought WTF not (and the extra under seat space helps to store the sheepskin and a fuck off chain - no airbox on these boyo's )

Like all manner of technology they have also improved from what they were but like everything, you pays your money

Happy and prosperous new year to you and yours also H

Thank you for the heads up, I am in the process of stripping some weight out of my rex and this battery looked ideal.

I fabricate most of my own parts so i'm looking to do away with the standard plastic holder, and replace it with a billet type one.
