    NEW BRAKE LINES

Merry Christmas all. I`m about to service my front calipers on my 1100 and have ordered seals etc but can`t decide whether to fit race spec 2 line braided hoses or go for 3 line set up. I don`t know what`s best so looking for advice. My brakes are poor and noisey. Cheers all.

    Re: NEW BRAKE LINES

Personally i prefer the two line set up (which was designed for racing as you cant have a joint below the yoke or some malarchy)

No benefit from 2 - 3 per se (less fewer joints) and some take a single line and piggyback at the caliper (which would be no good for the race gods ) and others just take them both off the MC

I wont get into the caliper debacle (i think 6 pot toks are shite) but be aware that 6 pots can be tricky to bleed so don't immediately suspect your brake lines when or if you have issues

What is imperative is to use good quality crush washers between the banjo's and brake lines

This may also help - http://www.zrxocboard.com/board/show...ht=brake+hoses

None of which will be as good as watching ZULU mind

    Just ordered all black goodriches.
Don't know about all the fuzz about 6 pots are crap tough, last time I let a Kwaka deaeler put them on and they worked perfectly for more then 10 years (oil change every 2 or 3 years in between) now !
And ok that ll cost you a few quid but it's done properly.
