    I had just noticed a few people didn't have them. I suppose it is the same as the octopus. Doesn't really do much but people remove them to tidy up all the pipes

    Totally different.......one is arguably for safety...........the other is for emissions!

    FWIW it’s like Phil said, if you don’t clean the filter and flush the very small bore system regularly it don’t work anyway and I wonder how many do that
