    trottle cables

    do i have to remove the carbs to change the cables ? silly question i know but ive never done this before

    Its a lot easier if you do............................and I mean a lot

    Can be done in situ tho but its a cunt

    A helper with very small hands will make it a bit easier................................as will a pair of very long nose pliers

    Open the hole on the end of a hacksaw blade so the new cable barrel will just fit in. Use this to position the barrel into the pulley. Worked for me after smashing my knuckle to bits. The blade needs to be on the opposite side of the cable barrel to the side that goes into the pulley. Once the barrel has engage into the pulley push the cable down until it finds the slot. Once fully seated remove blade. Throttle pulley needs to be in the fully open on the "pull" cable.

    I found it virtually impossible to do - until I removed the gas tank

    . . . seriously - mark the throttle push or pull at both ends of one cable so you don't get them on but wrong if you know what I mean

    Go look up some new swear words in a dictionary first, cos you'll run out pretty quickly, as said, .really long pliers, and much more patience than I have
