    Re: New Z900

It will/is going to reach our shores.

Its ripe for tuning/modifying and will look much the better for it.

They should have made the DAEG eco friendly (even if it meant swapping the holy unit for a modern eco friendly one) as a modern REX would sell in bucket loads.

It is a better job that anything else out of Japan as far as retro is concerned.....only the mighty Triumph do better.

Interestingly (JIMHO) if you slightly alter it (as I have in the attached LH pic vs standard RH) it does look better...

Chopped the rear mudguard (sorry any anoraks who like that sort of thing)
Lowered the bars, brake reservoir and clocks and removed mirrors
Done the forks in silver as the original Z had (cant believe KWAK will sell it with BLACK forks!)

Ironically now looks like a ZEPHYR!

The rex sold that well in Europe that we didn't get the DAEG

let's hope it weighs a bit less

I'd forgive a lot if it came in <200kgs at the kerb. Standard Z9 = 210 kerb.

But I suspect for most buyers the only weight problem will be their own...

I don't mind a bit of weight but why do they expect us to buy ugly? Not that many nice lookers on the market at the moment & if I buy another mag full of 'adventure bikes' then I'll just burn it .
