Well have my mri Monday but did get to ride the bike today with it's new tyres on and my back was not to bad So going to hold off on sale and give the back chance to settle down more if mri shows anything got till spring.Plus it's just killing me to sell her so the journey continues.

Never give up, Wez- I was fucked up big time with me back, found a decent surgeon and 7 years of revalidation and I'm pretty much back(70%), just keep good hope man, and keep moving.

It was actually a Rex that got me back from bikelessness.

    Wez

Whilst I TOTALLY understand what you're feeling now, don't do it as you'll regret it!

If anyone knows what you're going through, it's me. I had C6/C7 fusion 15 years ago and thought that was the end of my neck & back pain. However, things have been progressively getting worse over the last 7 years or so, until late last year when C7/C8 disc collapsed and I ended up in hospital for many weeks. The nerve got so severely trapped that I couldn't walk for many weeks, felt so ill I honestly thought I was dying! I lost over 3 stone and didn't really know what was going on.
That was until I decided (and this is just my own personal opinion) that the NHS spinal specialists really didn't know enough, so I went private to see what I could do.
In a state of confusion, I sold these two bikes (kept my ZRX and VF1000R) and now wish I didn't!
After spinal surgery and having a titanium ball & socket fitted, I now realise my mistake.

May I suggest you at least get a specialist consultation (Spire Healthcare highy recommended) and see what can be done. The NHS won't be able to accurately diagnose you as they simply don't know enough, but if you get a private consultation (arround 250) they can almost definitely get you operated on through the NHS as most specialists worh for the NHS part time anyway.

I hope this is of some help.

    Best regards, Will

Re: The day has come my 1100 for sale

Had my second gp appointment after getting the main scan results yesterday. The news was not good the disc's that went in my lower back should not of been operated on the 2nd time and the op they did is now not aloud due to the fail rate. Also i was ment after having the 2 op's to have a mri every 2 years to keep an eye on movement i did not know this and my last mri before the one last month was 2009.I kept telling hospital and gp's something had moved/closed up on nerve but was only ever given more pills which themselves have caused more problems and really with all the other crap thats been happening over the last couple of years just took them.In this time my gp's have now left practise along with the back consultant that did the op's.The new gp who seams to be very on the ball for once said no chance of proving any thing against them and would not have the money to fight it any way.So i can not have another op from what new mri shows the risk of damage to nerve is not worth it as the junction it is going through would have to be opened up to wide for the discs to take with out having a caged fusion.Add to this the nerve has been rubbing and has caused scar tissue which can not be removed means even if i go through op's etc it will not get better.Have got to go back for round three next week after more blood tests monday as she wants to rule out everything including Diabetes as there were markers on my last tests in july that the old doctors missed.I was shocked at this as i do not eat crap, fizzy drinks etc but it can be brought on by the nerve damage so all in all bit shit really.Still going to hang onto the zrx for the minute but if it really really comes down to riding something a lot lighter to stay riding then no choice but to let her go.

You could always get rid of that slide in yer garden, that can't be doing her back any favours playing on that...on a better note yer bike looks stunning.
