Bike almost, so close I can smell it, finished

    OK.....

Some of the purile, sorry purists Nigel (and thanks to you for all the advice and tips over the months), won't be a fan of how my build has turned out...

So I took a very ratty 97 ZRX1100 and chopped it up.

With a bit of help, in fact given how life has kicked me in the balls, they did more than help but stepped up and did a whole heap more than we originally agreed and turned it out to a standard I keep going back to look at and go, 'That's better than I could have done' but.... I did my fair share in the end.

Front - Took off the front and rears of the bike. Front end is a AMA ZX10R front end with the (I'm told) trick KYB bits hung on it. Low rise bars, single display clocks, to be added billet fluid reservoirs, grips and levers - I'm supposed to be doing that tomorrow, but the snake with tits has fucked that up...

Engine - strip down, ZZR Cams, double sprung, 4 degree advancer, set of Keihins (to be added, they needed a bit more work to get right than anticipated) anything worn replaced, silly loud exhaust, probably going to have rethink on that as and when I start to go deaf.

Rear - GSX1400 swing arm, kept the Hagon shocks, they were brand new, cut off the rear frame and made a new seat hoop to support a ZZR1100 seat which I stuffed with extra foam and covered in Alcantara, because I could really. Lost all the plastic (still some for sale...) has a ZX10 rear wheel in there.

Lights LED projector at the front, rear LED thing that was on the shelf.

Paint - 10% gloss mixed into a matt black used on as much as it would stick to. Too many coats of satin engine paint. The silver is brush effect. Now I didn't ask for this, I told the painter to come up with something as I could make my mind up. Bizarrely it is match for one of my other bikes, even down to the pin stripe. He has never seen that bike. Weirdness

    Anyway, some pics

Very nice job, I love it, but I guess I'm biased towards customs....
    What show is that at?

Th at us at the Copdock Show- was approached to put the bike in BSH whilst there. But they'll want an owner shot, and I'm terribly ugly.

How much did you extend the forks by to get the bike sitting like it is ,how was this achieved and can you still access the adjusters ?

I think that's an optical illusion...

Front end - yokes, forks, wheel etc are from a US race bike

The raised seat seems to change the whole look / ratios of the bike. But I've buggered knees so at least I can get on it.

, the reason i ask is that it looks like, in the first pic, a spacer piece has been fitted to the forks around 30mm below the top yoke.
