    Mk1 Trumpet Speed Quattro

My Speed Quattro is coming on well - most mechanical jobs done & the rest is purely cosmetic

The clocks are made up from Triumph clocks i had "in stock" & bits & pieces from a CRK kit. I used black faced clocks, as they just looked more classy than the original Daytona white faced clocks. The headlight is a replica LC350 jobbie & i copied the brackets from some i saw online.
I have got a pic from the front, but it really is still a work in progress - ive been working on the mechanical side, but im not far from the fun part of refreshing the cosmetics

A Speed Triple is effectively a 900 Daytona with the fairing/clocks/lights/oil cooler removed (there are other differences, but essentially, its a Daytona).
A Speed Quattro is a 1200 Daytona with the fairing/clocks/lights removed.
The factory did do one as a project, but all the ones in existence will be home converted 1200 Daytonas.

Going to remove the exhaust system this weekend & refurbish it & while its off, paint the front of the engine, then if time, make a start on cleaning up the rear end.
Then its carbs off & clean them. I may re-jet & fit pods, but its hard to get the jetting right on these.
Then its dyno time & see the joke 147bhp Triumph claim - ha ha i reckon nearer 120 . . .
Still, i guess the power bullshit sold bikes at the time
