I've never had a ZX7R, but I did have a lot of ZXR750s from the late 80s until about 10 years ago (an H1, J1, K, L2 and an M) - absolutely loved them, I can't remember any other bike that I felt so connected to when riding it, especially the feel from the front end. We toured Europe on a couple of them too, no complaints about comfort although I might not feel the same about it now...!

    Re: ZX7 owner?

I'm on my second zx7r, I had my first one for 5 years and only sold it as by that time (several years commuting, a few track days, a crash, living outside for a year) it was a little ropey and I wanted space to buy a ZRX to go alongside my Street Triple R.

In the end I sold both naked bikes and in my garage I now have another zx7r, so glad to be back on it, solid front end, air intake noise is fantastic, I am in love with bikes again. But it is a bit head down, arse up riding position. You either can get on with it or it gives you knee pain, back pain etc

here is my old one before I crashed it,

My new one is in a thread back in February.

I fitted 5mm LSL handlebars to raise the riding position, much more comfortable now.

Don't know if its just the colour or photo lens , but the fairings and tailpiece look too big and out of proportion imho.

It actually reminds me of a cbx that was at Alton café a few weeks ago and fitted with 17" rims instead of the original cartwheel hoops .

Must admit I have never really had a 'thing' for 7R's
