I really have no idea what that rant is about or why you have chosen to place it in Nigel's thread about his new XT.

Care to offer a rational explanation of WTF you are on about or who it is directed at?

It must also qualify as one of, if not the, longest sentence on the board. Not a single full stop.

I don't care - just didn't want to own a GS, even though the new water cooled one is a better bike than the S10.

I was chatting to a lad on the Chunnel a few weeks ago an he was telling me that with all the extras on his water cooked one that it was 19,000.
I have to say that your choice on buying the Yamaha Nigel is certainly one you won't regret.
I've only heard good things about them.

Yes, crazy money - but apparently most are done on PCP according to my local Beemer shop.
Had my first decent ride out on the S10 today and seriously impressed with it for such a big, heavy bike. Corners amazingly well and averaged 58mpg (!) over 240 miles in the Lake District.
Riding position, suspension, grunt and weather protection is ace. Seat is NOT comfortable though - makes the standard Rex seat feel like a comfy armchair! i will need to do something about it.

Sargent make one or get Tony archer to fit a nice big gel pad in your original.

On second thought, you should be riding it every where stood up Dakar style
