    Think this method only polishes the chrome and knocks the iron oxide out of the pits, but doesn't get rid of the pitting, so the problem still exists for making a seal.

    It's a good prep prior to treating with epoxy or super glue though and ideal on fork stanchions. Do this (clean with solvent) and then dab epoxy or super glue in the pits and once dry sand down to 2000 grit before a final polish and it can help stop fork seals leaking. I wouldn't class it as a permanent solution, but some forums have had good long term results doing it.

    have wilbers front and rear, they come prepared for your wheigt, indeed teh oems work well but after about 80000kms the height was dropped by a few cm so...
    payd about 1200€ for this and it finetunes the suspension so the bike is well in balance
    a good supplier also does the maintenance of the suspensions

    Got the shocks back today and fitted them to the bike - they are working perfect. Did not releaise how bad they were! Thanks again for the advice guys.
