Suki Yuasa lead battery is not holding charge. Such annoyance.

After installing lithium batteries on couple of bikes I have to say that lead motorcycle batteries are waste of money. Heavy, expensive and not lasting.

Finally broke and bought Lithum replacement. With my outboard project I have been pouring money in different black hole.

Fit is exact. Didn't like that terminals were 90 degree turned as there is not much slack in the main leads.
Amazing how happily bike turns and start with the Lithum.

Looks like I own little bugger for three plus years now with about 3k miles.

With that little exhaust tweaks I did rides really nice, nothing beats carburetors for low-end fuell delivery thought.

So far bike as expected was 100% reliable. For 14 years old that's pretty good, kinda cheating here since I've redone lots of stuff usually prone to malfunction at older age. I just revisited conversation we had early in the thread comparing the SV to Italian twins, lots of fun... Hope those are holding up.

I would still like to replace fuel tank and get some tricky paint, sadly I am not willing to spend thousands on paint job crazy people down here ask. Prolly I need to look harder at shipping the spare tank somewhere for paint. I wonder what is an average in Blighty...

Note that bike uses our familiar ZRX handlebars with Kendo weights - things don’t get to waste in WJ house if I can help it. Riding position is super comfy. Recently find out that creators of the new Katana copied the setup into the new bike ;-)

    Go Mama Suki!
