First test drive on highway speed. Bike runs just fine. Took it gradually through speed brackets on roughed up road looking for trouble signs. None was detected, up to and included highway speed. Nice and stable. Braking well.

Love how it come out with fork swap:

Thinking about doing bit of body candy now. I have another tank that is pristine but wrong blue. Could get it custom painted with blue and red plus get fender and seat cowl done to match. Need to find a shop than can do pro job, not easy down here.

    Fuel Tank

This is inside of fuel tank I source last year for cheap.

    Looks like new.

Bad thing is dented and wrong blue color. Interior of original tank was severely corroded when I got the bike. I cleaned it out and use ethanol free gas. So far I have no issues, yet I want to have nice tank on it.

So this looks to be my next project.

I think I can deal with larger, shallow dent from inside. Not sure about Upper dent ....

Nice bike dude. Love the look of the fork swap. You didn't think the rear shock needed an upgrade to match it?

I've a K5 SV650 myself. I didn't go for the fork swap, I opted to go for a heavier fork spring and emulator upgrade instead. I also sourced a 2016 ZX14R rear shock that's a straight swap and the spring is bob-on for my weight.

Thanks! SV1000 stock suspension quite capable. I got this SV as ersatz until I had Rex done and tried not to spend much money on it. But I got to like it in some strange way, with its 2 cylinder weirdness and its a keeper with 5 k miles on the clock.
Although I love bike with upgraded brakes and fork, for straight line riding down here, that upgrade wasn't really needed. I did it because my fork stanchins had chrome defects in the seal area and seals were leaking. It was cheaper for me to put that whole geexer front end than buy just fork stanchions.
With rex done, now I want SV cosmetically nice, so I do not get bad feedback from Nige

Bad news bears on the fuel tank project, kinda. I asked tank dent guru for Georgia for an estimate for paintless dent repair and he wanted 350 to 500 tallars..... Well, I will be bending some dent repair tools over the weekend and learning new skills....

Hard to find good videos on dent removal. Everybody has something to sell. This one explains the proses and use of line board.
