    V-Twin Goodness

Got this K6 SV1000 in sad state as stop gap while my Zrex was being resto modded. But after fixing it I stared to like it more and more

After a year of owning it I even started collecting fork swap parts.

GSXR steering dampener, with ecu controlled variable stiffness. Will try it on SV with switch controlled base and full dwell...

Not at all. Handling is good. Its a mild well rounded bike. Sitting position is comfortable for clip on bike. Motor wants to run and it is fuel injected. Plus I got mine with less than 300 miles on the clock so it is a keeper. I am just planning to update suspension and brakes to gsxr spec and do cosmetics like fender eliminator and seat cowl...
Like this concept of updated SV1000 a lot

    They're great handling bikes.

I used to have a SV650S and it while it wouldn't have the bigger grunt of the 1000 was really nimble in the corners.

I love the low punch of a big V twin though

Gunther was hitting at TL reputation of being widow makers. Untamed liter v-twin punch plus unpredictible handling due to "innovative" rear shock design. Both fixed on SV with nanny throttles and conventional rear suspension.

The dealer I got the Rex off had an old TL up for grabs. I do like the look of them, but yeah, not for the faint hearted.

RSV and even RSVRs cheap these days, handle in a different league, lighter and more power. Mk 1 & 2 Tuonos the same, but they're on the up.

I'd definitely look in that direction for a V2. I still miss the Tuono.
