    XJR1300 Ohlins shocks

Been looking at a set of these to replace the standard ( tired) KYBs. I know they are not as adjustable as ' proper' Ohlins, but would they be an improvement over the KYBs?
    Subject to re-furb where needed.
Just a thought - being skint - they would be cheaper than even new KYB or Ohlins

BUT Like me, the shocks are old and knackered and not looking their best any more, so. I was looking at smartening them up - and a possible improvement as well
The main problem is that the Rex is my only transport at the moment and I cannot get to work without it.
Reckon I'll just save up some more and buy the Gazis then

There are some cheap piggy back shocks on e-bay for about 130. You could bung a set of them on whilst you refurb yours. Be interesting for someone to try them & see what they are like.

Rockpile, I have an xjr1300 sp {"Ohlins Shocks"} and a ZRX with Real Ohlins shocks There is no comparison.
The xjr look poverty stricken. I am about 4 miles from you if you want to have a gander.

    Lend Nige's and refurb yours.
Just a case of powdercoating the springs some fork oil and elbow grease.

    Re: XJR1300 Ohlins shocks

Bit of Advice i found a few yrs ago.

Doesent matter which ones you get off the yamaha, inside they are identical to the more expensive ones, except the valving is more restrictive, these parts are inter changeable, so you can make them as good as the more expensive ones,. Id buy a set go for a srvice and while in bits have the new valve fitted to spec them up.

But these yam ohlins dont come with the ride height adjustment like the more expensive ones.
I RIDE because every morning feels Like a weekend, rush hour is a total rush and my bike makes going to work almost worth it.
