    Thanks. Do you think, that this top edge of screen is the important thing for silence? Did you try other screens?

    Dunno but it works for me. I have tried lots of screens. One was so ugly I didn't even take it out to try it!! Ermax I think it was..........

    Had an FJ 1200, the 'flip' screen was a popular upgrade for serious touring, kept down wind, noise, bugs and fatigue, would assume this is the same deal

    Over the years with a good few bikes, I've found the best approach is simply to try to get clean air to hit your lid rather than try to get it to go over your head.

    A massive screen might do it, but looks terrible on most bikes and better suited to the big tourers.

    I use my FZ1 for touring and gone through about 4 screens and I've found going to a smaller screen that moves the air off the chest is the best. Your helmet is aerodynamic by design, so getting clean air to hit it will prevent buffeting. Using these steep tall screens on bikes not suited for them often simply produces a lot of turbulence around the riders head making things worse.

    A small screen with a little deflector wing if necessary is usually the best approach. I've found naked bikes are often quieter than faired due to this fact, but the wind hitting your chest is what makes them tiring at speed.
