    Seat options

So Im using the bike more and finding that the seat becomes a plank after twenty miles or so.

Im considering having it remodled to include more support, especially on the inner thigh area.

    Any ideas/options?..

mines corbin, and I cant fault it,
a cheaper option is a re sculpture by tony archer ,etc, not as good imo, but the price is right,
I would go for a harder foam, and not bother with gel inserts,,
I have had 2 with gel, they didn't really do anything, it was the new shape that helped

Tony did my seat (there is a thread on here somewhere) and inserted varying density's of foam after I explained my size and levels of porkiness.

Gel was discussed but I got the impression he thought they were shite and its proper good but I doubt as good as a corbin or sargent (but then it cost me 65 squids).

    http://www.tonyarcher.co.uk/index.html

He has done loads of rex seats and as I say, he will put different density foam wherever you wish and will style it on any photo / description you have.

He did the one that is on pic 1 in my album

Is £65 about standard for a re working or is that cheap? Desperate to get mine done but budget is an issue.

the general rule of thumb is that you get what you pay for..... my gel insert alone was fifty quid, plus a new cover and foam took it over a ton...

As a fat bastard, I'd like to try the firmer foam to see if it works. The new seat designs and styles are awesome though.
