    Warped front brake disc

    Hi All,

I've discovered a warped disc to the front right brake. Resulting in a judder on braking. I picked this up when I test rode the bike prior to buying it in March. The former owner said that he was willing to "talk" about it once I found time to get it in to a garage....he's gone quiet!

Genuine Kwak discs are in the region of £250 a piece. I'm considered changing the front pair and am looking at EBC as replacements.

Any advice, links of general comments would be much appreciated.

    Ride safe,

    Simo'

Before you change anything, read / watch this as it may just be your bobbins

Then again, it may not be

galfer/EBC are good replacements. If you're tight on cash you can try arashi's from madhornets, I couldn't fault them exept they rust a bit (like EBC). or keep an eye out for a used set.

But try the bobbings first as Nige said

You should be able to turn them.
Stick a nut and bolt through them and spray brake cleaner on, and work them until
    there free.

Amazon £152.40, Wavy discs, Black or Gold alloy centres, I've got a pair on my CBR600 that I ride daily, they get some proper stick, no sign of judder in 10,000mls, I do spin & clean the bobbins now & again.
Don't see the point in paying silly money for discs.
    HOPE THIS HELPS?

    Re: Warped front brake disc

After being told one of my discs is warped recently I thought id try and see if the bobbins were still free after my last cleaning session 6 months ago or so...

I tried using a socket and rachet and struggled..I ended up using a cordless screwdriver. IN SHORT BURSTS...spraying cleaner at it and at the the same time changing directions it was amazing how much sludge came out
