Thanks guys. I am not a fan of the combined indicator thing either so I would leave that unwired and stick with conventional flashers.![]()
Just a case of deciding how much to pay then![]()

I got a Clear Alternatives one from the States many years ago before the ching chong charlie cheapo ones came up for grabs & cut it flush with the tail section. Seems bright enough to me. It has inbuilt indicators but I disconnected them as I rekon they look a bit naff. It has no provision for number plate illumination tho so had to do that seperately.

Se si muove, sorpassilo. Se non, lucidilo.
Also went for the German one off ebay, Got it for 30ish I think?
No issues at all, none of the built in indy malarky either - all good
Before that however I did just use a couple of LED stop tail bulbs at 4 quid a go - cheap as chips![]()
SHOW A LITTLE FAITH --
THERE'S MAGIC IN THE NIGHT
Trouble is unless your following your own bike it's hard to tell. I was following you last Sunday Kev and like most after market led lights I've seen.during daylight they don't seem as bright as normal lights. Probably different at night but then again most ride during the day.
I suppose I am gonna have to either make or better still buy a bobbed standard type tail light then. I really do not want to be any less visible than I already am. I have been on a bike that got hit up the arse by a car at a junction cos the dozy mare did not see me. I am in no hurry to repeat the experience ....

some of the led ones wont pass a mot one because they "wash " into each other
That's a bit of a grey area on m/c rear lights digger. Finalised legislation is still pending. MOT stations will largely let them through at the moment, but that does not take account of construction and use regs - which may still be breached....no-one seems to know for sure.
If I went that route I would not use the built in flashers anyway.
