Re: Whats your motorcycle history
Bloody hell a memory test.
The year in brackets is the year/s i owned it not the year of manufacture.
Yamaha YAS125 (1973) crashed
Yamaha YS250 (1973) blew up
Triumph 250 Trophy (1974)
Triumph 500 Speed Twin (1975) sold for a fiver
Kawasaki Z400(1975)
Kawasaki Z900 (1977)
Kawasaki Z1000 (1977) bought it could'nt touch the floor kept falling off owner for 6 weeks
Kawasaki Z900 (1977)
Suzuki TS125 (1980) Took it to Gibraltar with me (bought for 90 quid at Bracknell auctions sold for 450 in Gib) (Could have got more but needed a quick sale as some argies decided I was needed in the South Atlantic)
MZETZ250 (1983) seized solid at 65mph (and still the only bike I've ever got a speeding ticket on)
Suzuki GS550M (1984)
Honda CB250 Superdreams x 3 (1984-1989) the lean years
Yamaha XS250 (1990)
Kawasaki Z400 (1991) although it was an original 1975 model
HONDA VT500 (1996) bought this as a present to myself when I left the RN will rate as the worst decision I've ever made. Although I actually owned it for four years it spent 2 1/2 of them off the road.
Kawasaki W650 (2000) The one and only bike that was brand new when I got my hands on it.
Kawasaki ZRX1200S (2003 - present) Not many of the above made me smile like this one does every time I open the garage door, and I certainly didn't lavish the time and money on them like I do my REX.
Sod the nickname, call me les.
