Re: Best bike in the garage next to the Rex?

oi! grip,me likey.. whats the details m8?
Its a Honda 1972 cb 750, done as a sort of cross between a CR750 (Dick Mann won the 1970 daytona on one) and a cafe racer for Sunday blasts down the back lanes to Knott End (of course neither I nor the bike is in UK at the moment so that buggers that plan!!). Its got a replica CR endurance petrol tank, cr oil tank and seat unit all made in Ireland by Bartel engineering. Engine is pretty stock, exhaust is by Swarbrick Racing (could be a problem at MOT time) cut and shut to get the swept up bit at the back . Double disc conversion and various other odds and sods. Minor frame mods and bracing by me and some friendly welders, progressive Hagon springs at the front, Ikon (Koni replicas) at the back. Ive been at it for 3 years and its VERY nearly finished. It runs and it sounds awesome, it just needs brake lines fitting and a place for a battery finding..... but actually its enough just to sit quietly in the garage with a brew and stare at the beauty of it. Cant decide whether to polish the tank or have it sprayed Honda red and bung some honda wing decals on it. Glad you like it!!!!

I'd have a standard ZRX1100 to go next to the heavily modified one already there

And an XLCR, and a 91 GSXR750 in blue, and a Duc 900SL, and an LC4 Supermoto, and a Vincent, and a K1200R, and an R1200GS.

And a Fazer (I was made to say this last bit or I won't be getting laid tonight).

So many to choose from........it'd have to be my first bike - a Yam FS1E in mint condition. Not because it's a great bike (it isn't) - purely for nostalga and to remind me when I ride it how good modern bikes are.

No release date yet, but I'm up for a test ride

I could of course go Yamaha, they have an extensive range of Virgins

I think i might have it... When i sold my "project VFR" AND my beautiful FZR1000EXUP,i pooled the money and bought a Honda Blackbird.
The ZRX is a very special bike, but the Blackbird really IS as good as everyone tells you it is. Im still discovering its potential. . .
As for a DREAM bike,i dunno, theres just so many...
