Well, as already mentioned in Snoops thread I picked her up yesterday, and the way she performed for me well - shameless.
The ride home from Tiverton to Chelmsford:D: :D: :D: couldnt take the grin of my face. Some of you may frown upon this but although I had looked at a good few Rexs I had not ridden one, so as I departed Tiverton Train Station with Snoops in my rear view mirror that was the first taste of so many happy hours ahead.

The 'slut' looked amazing Snoopy had polished her the night before and she was gleaming. Like a pair of pearly white stilettos on the dance floor.
With the scorpion can she sounded as good as she looked.
You really know how to look after a bike snoops and hopefully you'll see her again at one of the meets. (on your new 1100R in Green;) )

After the ZZR1100 first thing to get used to is no 6th Gear hmmmmm:\
Comfortable at 85 anything above buffeting gets to great.
Steering also seems lightning quick compared to the Zed with Snoops slight mod of dropping the yolks 10mm this compounds it.

Took nearly 2 tanks of petrol for approx.220mile trip. How does this stack up? First major job will be to replace the front brake disks as the RH one is warped. Made for a very odd sensation when approaching numerous roundabouts on the A303 with rumble strips and a warped disc!:>
so if anyone has a spare they want to sell I have put a post in the wanted forum.( Just for the record ,I was fully aware of the warped disc before I purchased).

Anyway want to take her for a spin. Many thanks to Snoops for yesterday. If all the members are like him then I am privalaged to be here.:)

Yeah, 85-90 is comfortable and less likely to mean :bye: licence if you do get a pull.

I always fill up after 100 miles or so regardless of the bike: a chance to stretch, have a cuppa, etc. so yes, I'd have done the same.

Snoops is a good chap, I hope he stays around and doesn't desert us while he's Rexless.

How many litres did you put in when you filled her up? The tank is supposed to be about 3.5 gallons but you will never get that much in. Expect around 40mpg if you are riding it without economy in mind.

Excellent :thumb:

If the carbs haven't been altered since I had her (fnurr, fnurr), then they'll still be Stage 2 jetted, ie DJ Stage 1 kit with 104 mains K&N and snorkel removed. That setup is for a full race system, so with standard headers you'll be running a bit rich. No harm, but you'll be using more fuel than optimum.

When she had a full Akra, depending on how hard you ride her :mut: , I was getting 130 miles before reserve.
