I bought my '03 ZRX 1200 already fitted with a 'full' Akra system. At 3000 rpm there was a really irritating metalic 'ringing' that was driving me crazy. All my mates reckon it was the actual system but I kept playing around with the 'bike to try and sort it. I stripped the front brakes, adjusted and re-adjusted everything that I could find. One of the problems was that this sound only appeared when the bike was moving. Anyway, I've got it well sussed now and hope this info may be of help. I took the headlight assembly apart and noticed that the small reversed cap (that reflects light back into the mirrored shell) was only supported by one piece of strip metal. Obviously the standard 'zorst has a different resonance to the Akra (or probably any other aftermarket 'zorst). After working out that I don't do a lot of night riding and the risk of having a worse light was a good trade off for getting rid of that bl**dy noise, I managed to remove it through the headlight bulb hole without damaging anything. This may be an isolated problem, anyway the bike now sounds great
