hi all
after lots of riding in crappy conditions when adjusting the chain other day i noticed lots of rust going on down below on screws and the black brace at the bottom (rear wheel) and wondered if anyone has any good ideas to prevent and also where to source new bolts and screws etc?

Kawasaki build quality is p***
Some poeple use the scotoiler fs ?? something or other spray on the exposed metal parts, i have always used the trusty wd40 after every wash ( being careful not to put it on any rubber parts) and my bike has no rust or corrosion anywhere and i ride in all but the deepest winter

Change all the monkey metal nuts, bolts and screws for stainless (or titanium)
Try BSR (http://www.bsr-aerotek.com/store/index.php?osCsid=1e34dab2dfccd4c018f18c0efb4375a5)
Probolt (http://www.tastynuts.com/site/frameset.htm)
or Inox (http://www.inoxbolt.co.uk/Homepage.htm)

I use ACF50 and sometimes WD40.
ACF50 is a pink foam when applied but is used on aircraft (so they say) and it seems to do the same job as WD40.
I too ride all year round unless there is some white stuff about:bike:

Yep, Kawasaki paint is piss-thin.
I'm forever having to blow in bits of mine where the paint has flaked off, or just worn through.
Get used to it. As your bike gets older, it becomes a rust magnet.
Mine's 9 years old, and if I'm quiet in the garage, I can hear it rusting.
