Just watched "Scrapheap Challenge" ........(poss.repeat).............and one team hauled out (I can barely say this)...........what looked like a ........ZRX1200R in red and white!!!!!!!!!!!! and it started up like a good "un too. Somebody tell me it was an old look-a-like or summat, cos I dont really know what those odd-lookin "Rs" do actually look like for sure.Why was it on the scrap-heap? (comments invited from "S" riders).........?? :confused:

I saw the second half and noticed that it was a Kwak engine but did'nt take much notice as I assumed it'd be a GT or summit.

Unfortunately its no coincidence.
Everything you need to complete the project is "on site".
They even give you a technical advisor.
I applied to go on a few years ago with a team of workmates but we didn´t bother when we found out how it works.
Sort of takes the "challenge" out of it.

yessss...but.....wouldn't be much good if your task was to build a 4 wheeled vehicle....if there weren't any wheels on site...ha ha....mind you...would be MORE challenging I suppose.... :hmm:

They always finish the task too, even when they still have 4 hours work to do in the last 20 minutes :hmm:

Still a good program though. The teams always tackle the task in a different way, thats when I knew it was a fix (apart from all needed items being readilly available).

I always think I could do better.

I just could not get myself so worked up so would never make the finals to get on to TV.

Its like the quizz shows they choose people who will go over the top.
