This saturday (29th Sep) at around mid-day bikers will be gathering at the Queen's Head Pub in Fishponds Bristol to take part in a charity truck pull. They are trying to raise money for a Bristol Biker who was badly injured in a bike accident in Thailand. By all accounts, he had insurance but he has needed hospital treatment for so long now that the Insurance company has now ceased paying out. His family and friends are trying to raise enough cash to sort him out and bring him home.
There will be a BBQ and band etc. afterwards for the rest of the day with all proceeds going to the cause. Sorry I don't know the finer details but we have only been told this much by our Bristol friends.
We will be there on the rexes to offer our support. It would be nice to see a few others there if anyone is at a loose end saturday. Cheers :drink:

I guess you were the guy on the S then Panth? :dunno: Yes - we WERE there. We may have 'wussed' out of taking the Rexes granted (as it was absolutely pissing down when we left Stroud :o: ) but we were there offering our support and donating. We went down in the golf instead and went along with the truck collecting.
Thanks for making the effort to come so far I'm sure it as really appreciated. We were pretty miffed with the weather coz were really looking forward to going on the rexes. It's not so bad when you get caught in the rain but being drenched before you leave just ain't fun :(
Sorry we didn't speak but we only knew 2 people there too and didn't know you were from the OC.

Will let you off Panth ;)
I wasn't really expecting anyone from the OC to turn up as only cobwebs said he might come and of course thought the crap weather would probably put people off. And I am a little bit shy :o: so thought you might think I was a nutter waffling on about the OC if you weren't a member and just trying to get a drink at your local. Sorry
There should have been another rex there too coz our mate has just bought one from Bristol kawasaki and was meant to pick it up sat morning. But they didn't have it ready in time so they lent him the black Z750 for the day instead. Don't know if you would have noticed me really! Axeman (hubby) was in the kwak jacket and 'Mikey for president' T-shirt. I had my ixon bike jacket on and purple chunky shoes. I wasn't one of the girles in very short and strange attire
Hopefully get to meet you another time if you still got the rex. :bye:
