As per mentioned in another thread on here and 9 pages on at least one other site:
There is a bit of a shindig going on is South Wales this weekend and you're all invited. Other than what I've cut and pasted below, i'd recommend bringing a tent if you have one (I have a couple if you're really stuck) and PLEASE let me know if you plan on attending, on 07974 942 608. To the best of my knowledge there is still one place going in the novice group.

WHAT WE ARE DOING
Thursday
Anyone who fancies it can camp at the track at Llandow (only about 20mins drive from the farm, much closer than Pembrey) on the Thurs night, or at the farm as usual (need to clear this with my mother first).
Friday - Day
Dom1's trackday at Llandow Circuit. Only £50 for the whole day! Contact him quick cos I think he needs the money pretty soon, e-mail Dom1 at dom1fazer@yahoo.co.uk or pm him and he'll send his address. Cheques payable to him with board name and group on the back. Last year's Welsh Ninjafest involved a trackday at Llandow that I arranged myself, so there are plenty of people on the site who can comment on it, it went very well!
Friday - Evening
Back to the farm after the trackday (but will my mother make a roast dinner again?) for a few (hundred) bevvies before bed!
Saturday - Day
Rideout leaving at 8am (weather depending) around the Welsh Mountains, probably about 150 miles.
Saturday - Evening
Big Field Party p*ss-up Sat evening with BBQ, bonfire, music etc (weather depending, so we'll probably end up sat in the livingroom)!
Sunday
Recover from hang-over, then those that are not still over the limit can take a slow, delicate, pootle to Downs Cafe (local biker cafe) for brekkie and lots of coffee, followed by maybe a short rideout along the coast again if we feel up to it late morning/early afternoon, then back home!

THE FARM

Map showing route to farm from Junction 34 of the M4
TBA (hosted where you guys can see it).

Additional Directions to the Farm - To Accompany 2nd Map
Come off the M4 at junction 34 and turn right towards Llantrisant and the Rhondda Valleys.
Follow the dual carriageway down the hill
Turn right at the roundabout
Turn right at the next roundabout towards Rhiwsaeon
Follow the lanes til you reach a T-junction at the village of Rhiwsaeson (about a mile away, just 8 houses)
Turn left (be careful, there is sometimes gravel at this turning), going up the steep hill under the bridge
Turn right DIRECTLY after the first building you see on your right (it is a newly converted barn house) the turning is pretty well concealed until you are almost on top of it so ride slowly, it's easy to miss. Be careful because there are some loose stones at the turning, I will try and sweep them away before you all get there, but the ground is pretty uneven.
Ride along the driveway to the farm
Park your bike on the left in front of the stables
Walk around the left of the house to the kitchen door and yell HELLLOOOOOOO loudly. The door will be open so walk in and dump your kit in the kitchen. Someone will hear you and come meet you!

Who is who! This may seem silly to some, but I know how difficult it can be turning up to someone's house not knowing anyone and not knowing who is who! All my family are VERY friendly and are used to loads of unknown bikers turning up as I generally have these biking weekends a couple of times a year. You will be made to feel very welcome!
Nikki Me - 27, long blonde hair, 5'6"
Haggis (Alan) The husband - a bit older than me, 6', really fit, bald, devastatingly handsome in a craggy sort of way, reasonably heavy Scottish accent, don't expect to be able to understand him til you have "tuned in" which usually takes 30mins - 4 hours, I'm happy to translate!
Jenny My mother - short, slim, mad woman, shoulder length dark blond hair
Roger My Dad - 6'3" Red/blonde/grey type hair (not much of it), glasses, quite loud. Doesn't live at the farm but spends alot of time there.
Jon My mother's boyfriend - About 5'7", grey hair, glasses, quiet type bloke, won't be there all weekend cos he's away for the weekend.
Beryl My Nan - Short, grey hair, glasses, granny type person
Katrina Haggis and I's 7 month old daughter - Beautiful but loud wee girlie with very little blonde hair and big blue eyes

WARNING!!!!! - My mother has a new dog called Moss (German Shepherd/Wolf-hound). She insists that he is all noise and no action, just a good guard dog! My father insists that he is a complete savage that needs snotting, the dog apparantly tried to savage him when he walked towards the farm in his bike kit! The god isn't that bad but I will try and keep him locked in one of the stables while you all turn up. If you get there and he's out and his barking, feel free to stay on your bike and someone will come round and rescue you!

Sounds interesting for the saturday night, not 100% sure that I will be able to make it, family party and BBQ going on, but might be able to make it for a while to say hello.

I'm originally from the other side of the M4 (Wenvoe) and a farmers son, we sold up 27 years ago because the link road went right through most of our land and we decided that it was pointless carrying on farming.

Hopefully see you saturday, if not there will be plenty more opportunities. :drink2: :drink:

Be good to see you sir!
If you can't manage the Saturday, give me a shout Sunday morning and come for the breakfast and ride.

Sunday 'morning', turned into afternoon.
We were busy trying to get a mate out of hospital from a crash the day before. He had an interesting time with the near-side verge of a right-hand hairpin!
He was too busy looking round the bend to see what might be coming and wasn't as careful as he should have been about the verge and binned it. It seems that as he went over the bars his left index finger wanted to stay tucked under the clutch lever.
The second knuckle completely dislocated and the bone shattered.
When he was in the hospital they asked what he did for a living. Luckily he is in IT and types with all his fingers, so instead of just chopping it off, they performed 2.5 hours of surgery on it to try to save it.

The weekend wasn't too great for Mrs McSparkie either: she binned our CBR400RR! It wasn't all doom and gloom though, as she sold it (messed up plastics and snapped footpeg), to a bloke there!

Ramble over! Just thought I'd say sorry if you turned up and waited around for us.
