For one reason or another, I ended up using my ZRX1100 instead of the Fireblade in the Fast group at Donington GP circuit.
Completely bloody excellent day. The boys in the fast group were pretty surprised being overtaken by a bog-standard, 5 year old ZRX around the outside of them at Craner Curves. Highlight had to be doing a GSXR1000 K5 and a Ducati 998 at the same time out of the Old Hairpin. Everything was scraping on every corner, but knee, toe and peg at 100mph around Schwantz curve was a right giggle. All this on Metzeler Roadtec Z6's against GSXR and R1 trackbikes on Supercorsas. I had no chance against the sportsbikes in a straight line, but even then they were only getting past right at the ends of the straights, so I was getting the drive out of Coppice right. I wasn't overtaken once on the swervy bits by anything....
There were some great photos taken which I should get in a week or so, and I'll post a few. Even the weather was good all day.
